How to Replace Cam Locks and Its Production Process

When we replace the lock body of cam locks, we often find that the tongue of the cam lock is not in the right direction, and there is no need to take it to replace it. Just a little hand can be adjusted.

Tools/Materials
Screwdriver, lock body

Methods/Steps
1
The direction of the door is not the same. The slope direction of the lock tongue is not the same. Before replacing the lock body, we must first adjust the direction of the lock tongue. Otherwise, it will not be closed.

2
We take the fire lock as an example. In the lock body close to the lock tongue position, there is a small hole. Use a screwdriver through this hole to push out the lock tongue.

3
After ejecting the lock tongue of cam locks, you can easily adjust the direction of the lock tongue by hand, and rotate 180 degrees. You should pay attention to the hand not close to the edge of the lock tongue, so as to avoid the lock tongue retracting and being caught.

4
After rotation, the lock tongue will enter the original hole. Then, you can press down several times with your hand to see whether it can spring back flexibly.

5
Finally, fix the entire lock body on the fire door that needs to be replaced. Then you should check whether the handle can be flexibly reset.

6
There is also an ordinary lock body for offices, which is to press the lock tongue into the lock body of cam locks when adjusting the direction, and the other method is similar to adjusting the fire lock body, and then rotate 180 degrees and then reset.

Notes
After adjusting the direction of the lock tongue of cam locks, you should be sure to test the lock tongue several times to see if it is flexible.

The production process of cam locks

The factory has a consistent operation process, including die casting, punching, lathes, injection molding, grinding, drilling, polishing, electroplating, painting, assembly, etc. They are completed in the factory. This ensures the quality stability of the cam lock and the pursuit of precision, and the traceability of each batch of goods.

Tools/Materials
Drilling machine
Die casting machine electroplating machine
Zinc alloy stainless steel

Methods/Steps
Die casting (Raw material: zinc alloy, Australian 3# zinc)
The main parts of the cam lock: the core of the cam locks, the lock shell of the die casting

Deburring and polishing (the lock core and the lock shell are molds after die casting, and the surface is not clean.)

The first is deburring (now the factory is fully automatic mechanical deburring). After the burring, it will be corrected and polished, so that the product looks more refined and smooth (this process is not done by many domestic factories, so the product looks rough.).

The surface treatment is also called electroplating. The general plating types are chrome plating, nickel plating, zinc plating, and electric black). The large-size lock spray has black and gray. The electroplating methods are hanging plating, rolling plating, continuous plating and brush plating, etc. The stamping (punching machine, lathe) mainly includes (strip/bead, tongue piece, key, terminal foot, nut, etc.). Injection molding is mainly plastic parts (such as terminal feet, key rubber sleeves, etc.).

CNC machining, high precision and high technical content products are used in CNC machining (internal screw, all miscellaneous letter management locks).

7
Assembly is the last process of the cam lock. Our factory staff assembly is to be trained and operate in strict accordance with the installation of the assembly demonstration book. Each process is controlled by quality personnel so that each product is fully qualified before packaging).

Notes
Things need to be operated by experienced personnel. It will be affected by materials and experienced people.
